Description

In 2008, Some of the Seki knife authorities have formed "Challengers Knife Club" to train and inherit Seki traditional knifemaking technique and knowledge to young knife craftsmen in Seki. There are now 15 club members gathering once a month. They are working at Seki knife factories, and aggressively challenging to make their own knives after work and weekends.

JKD is trying to support and encourage them by introducing their knives for sale. Here are some of the latest knives received.

TOSHIYUKI TAKAHASHI TT-20 Traditional Curved Skinner & Field Knife

  Experienced and skilled Custom knifemaker in Seki, Toshiyuki Takahashi has been working hard to master every knife making process and detailed & precision custom works during the decades of his knife making careers.  He makes unique Fixed blade knives and Fancy Folders with perfect fit & finish. 

 This is a rare Antique finish Traditional Skinner with 4-1/2" mottled pattern Gunblued OU-31 Hamaguri-Ba (Convex edge) blade,  OU-31 is the toughest micro-fine steel achieved by compounding special alloy and dispersing fine carbide,  60HRc. 4-3/4" Jigged Bone handle with Tsuchime hammered Brass Hilt and Brass tubular Lanyard hole on end, Full tang with 3 Nickel silver Tsuchime hammered Pin rivets, Comes with Custom double stitched Leather sheath with belt hanging strap with stag horn tip on end.
