New! Parker Cutlery "Excalibur" Custom Made by Mr. Mamoru Katoh in
1969
Mr. Mamoru Katoh "Excalibur" 3-Bladed Canoe Pattern custom made
for Parker Cutlery Mr. Mamoru Katoh has been running a small knife factory here in Seki city for over 65 years, producing high quality Pocket knives. Unfortunately, he has passed away a few years ago at the age of 85. Recently, his daughter got rid of the factory, and this is one of the factory founds. We have found 33 pcs. of this fancy Canoe pattern 3-bladed Pocket knife custom made by Mr. Katoh in 1969 for Parker Cutlery. It has a mirror polished large 3" drop point blade, 2" medium sheepfoot blade and 1-1/2" small drop point blade. (sorry, I'm not sure of the blades material, but it would be AUS-6), Each blade is beautifully file-worked on the back, 4-1/2" Canoe Pattern Solid Nickel Silver handle with inlays of Mother of Pearl or Camelbone, The liner is also made of Nickel Silver, and the two backspring bars are stainless steel with file work. I don't know how many knives he has made for Parker Cutlery at that time, but all knives have been made with Mother of Pearl handles. We have inspected and re-polished all 33 knives, and replaced some cracked MOP with Camelbones. We have prepared a fancy blue velvet gift/display box with whilte silk inside imprinted in gold with his Kanji name and "1969, 1 of 33". This will be a memorial piece of Mr. Mamoru Katoh.

SN-10I Seiichi Nakamura Nak Lock Folder "Ironwood" Last year, we have introduced Mr. Nakamura's unique "Nak Lock"
folders from Seki Knife show (see below for two models that were instantly
sold out). Now, he came up with a Desert Ironwood inlay version. This folder
has an unique back lock system (Nak-Lock) released with a button on the
bolster. He has invented this firm locking system and it is now used by
Benchmade under license. 3" VG-10 core forge layerd stainless Damascus

Universal Knives designed by Takuo Onoue and Custom Made by Seiji Yanagida
An authority of the metallurgy and knife expert, Mr. Takuo Onoue is contributing
energetically to succession planning projects in Seki knife industry with
his all knowledges and long experiences (he is now 80 years old). He also
seeks what Japanese knife should be in it's design and function based on
Japanese tradition and long history, and came up with some designs called
"Universal Knives". He says these are Japanese traditional styles,
but is an easy-to-use and practical versatile knife for everyone in the
world. For 2011 Seki Knife show, Master Kiku Matsuda has made it for 20
pieces limited edition to commemorate 20th anniversary of the show and
sold them all by lottery at the show. Now, Mr. Seiji Yanagida has made
4 knives for JKD customers.
SY-60 Onoue-Tou (尾上刀) This is the same model Master Kiku has made for the Seki Knife show
last October. Now, Mr. Yanagida has made same highly mirror polished Hamaguri-ba
blade out of D2 steel and beautiful Desert Ironwood handle. It has 4-1/2"
slightly recurved semi-drop point blade suitable for every cutting cores,
and 4-3/4" hand contured easy-to-grip Desert Ironwood handle with
full tang & 3 rivets. Comes with hand fitted custom leather sheath

special in the quality and cutting performances. These are from one of
the best manufacturers in Seki who supplies to Japan's major distributors
under their name brands (O.E.M). If it has the famous brand name, it will
normally cost you $400 or more, but we got some with non-brand to offer
you at very reasonal prices. Unfortunately, there is no information about
the steel matrerial, but it is made of the high tech material and mirror

Seki Knife Show Specials
In October, we had anual Seki Knife Show. This was the 20th Anniversary
show with some special events. We will upload the show events and video
at Seki Knife Show website soon. From the show exhibitors, we would like to introduce some collections
by Mr. Seiichi Nakamura and Mr. Seiji Yanagida.
Mr. Seiichi Nakamura has been running a knife factory in Seki for over 45 years, producing
high quality O.E.M. knives for Kershaw etc. After retired, he has opened
a small workshop named "Knife Kobo KEI", and is dedicating his
skill and passion to the hand made custom knives that require time consuming
detailed works. He doesn't make so many knives, but each knife he makes
is a definately work of art and one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

sold out all the knives in stock at Hiro factory for it's durability and

As usual - thank you very much for 200% professional service. Hiro Bushman Machete is impressive knives that looks and works and gives a trust much,
much, much better than one could expect from a photograph that already is
impressive. Together with some Kiku's (like Yoroi Toshi, Full Contact Agressive)
and Takeshi Saji Musashi (especially those build to order with stag handle) Hiro
BM is on the top of my fixed knives heavy category collection. Hiro BM is a
very "smart" fellow. Everyone knows that one can cut and chop everything with
it. On the other side: the handle with special "half ring" between handle and
blade allows to use it for very precise jobs, just like a small knife. Very
interesting piece of steel. My full recomendation.

At the Seki Knife Show, Echizen
Forgesmith & Traditional craftsman, Mr. Takeshi Saji came
to me to show his new collection of Higonokami (he calls it
"Echizen-no-Kami) made of entirely Nickel/Stainless steel
Damascus. Of course, the blade core edge is VG-10 (San Mai
Clad). These are very unique Higonokami folders, and the
sandblasted Damascus design gives it very traditional
and old fashion. It comes with five (5) different blade shapes
and black Leather pouch. Bold Brass pivot pin and stainless
steel washers.

display some representative products from various knife
makers in Seki. We had many visitors to buy knives at the
Custlery Festival. One of the items they showed interest and
wanted to buy from the showcases was the Hiro 9-pc. Wood
Carving Knife.

During the years of
1987 to 1990, Blackjack knives have been designed by
Mike Stewart and produced in Seki, Japan. I was deeply
involved with all Japanese production before they went
to bankruptcy. I have recently found some old Blackjack
knives at the factories, and would like to offer them
for Blackjack collectors. Since original Japanese
production was very small quantity per model, it is hard
to find in the market and is now becoming a rare

FM-II Folding Mamba
BJ-80 FM-II Folding Mamba II This is a custom hand made replica
of the Folding Mamba, the first Folder from Blackjack
introduced in late 1967 as the strongest and hadiest
tactical folders in the market. Mr. Seizo Imai was involved
with this production at his factory in Seki, stating with
Kraton handle to Micarta, Cocobolo and Stag handle versions,
and they were the best sellers in Blackjack line. Over 40
years now, Mr. Imai is now an individual custom knifemaker and
is making various famous models replicas such as Loveless,
Horn, Centofante in fine details and precision work. You can
see his craftsmanship at Imai page. I have recently
asked him to make some custom made replicas of Blackjack
Folding Mambas, and he has hand made 3 pcs. each of four
different handles in exactly same size and shape, but with
upgraded ATS-34 blade instead of AUS-8 originally used. This
will be a good addition to your Blackjack
collection!

This is a smaller version of BJ-150 Tartan Dirk.
This was originally made first, and used for Blackjack logo
mark. Blackjack and famed custom knifemaker Pat Crawford
have created this "Fatal Beauty" series in the traditon of
these ferocious Celtic Warriors. 6-inch heavy duty
double edged AUS-8 blade, Concave hollow ground back
with thumb dimple on the tang. 4-3/4" Black Kraton
rubber checkered handle with solid Stainless steel hilt.

Warner-Moran Rio Grande Camp Bowie
Knife
This is the reproduction model of a Rio Grande Camp
Bowie made for Ken Warner in 1967 by Master Bladesmith Bill
Moran. It was made as exact to the original as possible, using
CS-51 Carbon steel with a full height Moran style convex
ground edge. The full tang construction with hand contoured
and hand fitted Honduran Rosewood handle with brass pins
and brass double hilt. 9-3/4" blade and 5" handle.
